Policy Advisor
Tess is a policy advisor in the Central Policy Team.
Prior to Nesta, Tess worked for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs where she led a policy team that codesigned capital grants for farmers, aimed at improving farm animal health and welfare and supporting environmental objectives.
Before this, Tess worked at the Department of Health and Social Care on policy for vaccines in adult social care, including supporting Covid-19 vaccines uptake in care homes and other social care settings. Prior to the civil service, Tess worked at Cancer Research UK.
Tess has an MSc in Public Policy and Management with Distinction from Birkbeck, University of London.
Outside of work, Tess enjoys reading, painting and walking around London and further afield.
