Project Manager, Innovation Mapping
Soraya is a Project Manager working on the European Commission Horizon 2020 project, EURITO.
This project aims to develop new mapping methods of the innovation ecosystem to better inform research and innovation policy as well as drive new opportunities for open innovation. She is also supporting the collaboration between Nesta’s Health Lab and the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation to develop a ‘scanner’ to identify and map promising health innovations globally.
Prior to Nesta, Soraya was the Project Manager of the HIV Modelling Consortium, based at Imperial College London where she was responsible for coordinating research activities in mathematical modelling to support scientific decision making in response to the HIV epidemic.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, swimming and baking. Soraya holds a BSc in Biomedical Science from King's College London and a MSc in Health, Community and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
