Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.
Digital Assistant
Molly worked across our digital content and platforms, including social media channels and newsletters, to engage a wide range of audiences in our communications.
Prior to Nesta, Molly worked in Melbourne as an editorial intern and then an editorial assistant at Aeon; a not-for-profit digital magazine of ideas and culture that publishes in-depth essays, incisive articles, and a mix of original and curated videos — free to all. She has also been a transcriber for the podcast series, Philosophy Bites.
She holds a first-class honours degree in English Literature from the University of Sheffield and has also completed a global scholarship in Urban Semiotics at Charles University, Prague. She is interested in literary theory, political philosophy and anything to do with the ocean.
Molly is passionate about volunteering and has worked as a fundraising officer for the University of Sheffield's Stop the Traffik subdivision, an organisation that is systemically disrupting global human trafficking and modern slavery networks by building resilient communities. She has also been a peer mentor and a volunteer at the Conversation Club, a welcoming space for refugees and asylum seekers to practice conversational English.
