Mission Manager (Scotland), fairer start mission
Linda is a mission manager for Scotland, working on the fairer start mission in Edinburgh.
Linda has a background in community development and has worked alongside numerous communities in Scotland and Ireland with a focus on finding solutions relating to poverty and well-being.
More recently, she spent 8 years working with The Roberston Trust, Scotland’s largest independent grant-making organisation, where she established their learning and communications team and led the development of their strategy focussed on alleviating poverty and trauma. She also worked with Skills Development Scotland, leading a programme of work to co-design new national careers services.
She is interested in how collaborative practices and system thinking can bring about improvements to people’s lives and is currently on the board of the Scottish Community Development Centre.
Outside of work, Linda likes to spend time in her garden and allotment, drawing and painting and playing the piano.
