Challenge Prizes Intern, Innovation Lab
James worked on the Longitude Prize in the Centre for Challenge Prizes, researching antibiotic resistance, diagnostics, and testing and evaluation in order to inform the Prize rules.
James recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences and an MSci in the History and Philosophy of Science. In the latter course, he researched the original Longitude Prize of 1714 as well as the politics of international science collaborations.
James has a keen interest in science policy and is Head of Workshops for Cambridge University Science and Policy Exchange, which fosters engagement between early-career researchers and policy-makers in order to inform improved evidence-based government.
He is a keen cyclist, squash player, touch rugby enthusiast and F1 fan.
