About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

Ilana is a Programme Coordinator at Challenge Works.

Before joining Challenge Works, Ilana completed her Master’s in Social and Cultural Psychology at London School of Economics. Her research focused on experiences of the UK Asylum System, as well as linguistic analysis of the dialogue of hostage negotiations. Prior to that, she worked at creative agency 23red where she was involved with diverse projects, from using behavioural science to reduce civilians trespassing on military training grounds to leveraging social norms to encourage cancer self-checks.

Whilst studying for her BA in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, Ilana was actively involved with many organisations within her college, including organising formal events to raise money and awareness for charities and managing the student bar.

Outside of work you can find Ilana cooking new recipes, cycling around London on a Santander bike, boxing and (attempting) climbing.
