Programme Lead
Haidee was a Programme Lead in Nesta's Innovation Lab. Haidee designed and led on interventions to accelerate the creative economy and to support digital social innovation. This included supporting creative and data businesses to scale, through targeted support for start-ups and for growing businesses, finding ways to deliver more using creativity and technology in priority public services and creating new networks for innovation by bringing together people from different backgrounds. Haidee's work at Nesta included Reboot Britain which tested how collaborative technologies can change public services, Creative Credits which researched the spillover effect of creative skills through an innovation vouchers programme, NT Live - the first live streamed theatre and programmes to support film and publishing businesses to understand the opportunities of digital technologies. Haidee was Nesta's open data lead, working with a network of seven cities on Code for Europe to explore open and user driven innovation in the public sector, and was the Europe manager of the global Open Civic project to share civic apps in partnership with Civic Commons and The World Bank.
Haidee's career has encompassed roles across the creative industries and within the public, private and third sector, a common thread being user-centred service design and the support of new enterprise. She was a founding partner of the association Audiences Europe Network, the first European partnership to explore audience engagement with the arts and culture across the continent and has studied and blogged about the changing relationship between crowds and culture.
