Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.
Intern, Education
Ella worked to support a number of projects within the education innovation team.
She worked on the new Future Ready Fund and Nesta's work on increasing diversity in STEM innovation through supporting youth intervention organisations.
Ella is a recent geography graduate from the University of Oxford with a particular interest in development. During her degree she focused on education development and completed a research dissertation on educational inequality in Guyana. She has also previously interned in Christchurch (New Zealand), planning new urban transport links to build communities back up after the 2011 earthquakes, and spent a year working as a volunteer teacher for Project Trust.
When not googling flights to far-flung places on the globe looking for her next adventure, Ella can be found out on the water rowing, on a sports field or having a yummy pub lunch.
