His work involves applying behavioural science in schools, nurseries and the home learning environment to improve educational outcomes. Before joining BIT, he worked in the research team at St Mungo’s, one of the UK’s largest homelessness charities. At St Mungo’s he conducted and managed a range of research projects on homelessness and severe social exclusion. Dave also has experience running qualitative research projects at a social research agency, BritainThinks.

Dave has a history degree from Cambridge and spent time on a graduate student scholarship at Yale, where his research focused on the Great Migration and Civil Rights Movement in postwar New York.
