Programme Manager, Government Innovation Team
Annette worked in the Government Innovation Team at Nesta focusing on social action priorities, specifically on the Connected Communites and Second Half Fund.
She worked across a variety of programmes focused including Accelerating Ideas, focusing on scaling ideas to support ageing and long term conditions. Helping in Hospitals - to develop and measure impact volunteering within hospitals - and Rethinking Parks which explored new business models for parks across the UK. She also led on the content and delivery of The Future of People Powered Health event in 2017 and Lab Works in 2015.
Before joining Nesta, Annette organised and supported the delivery of educational programmes for the Holocaust Educational Trust. Prior to that she spent six years at BUNAC (Working Adventures Worldwide) designing, implementing and managing a variety of international volunteer programmes.
She holds a Geography Degree from Staffordshire University and focused her dissertation on ‘Sustainable Tourism’.
Annette is a keen traveller and always planning her next adventure. Between trips she keeps busy with Zumba classes, playing badminton and volunteering with South London Cares
