Flintshire Council

Working in partnership with the Fostering Network, Flintshire Council will test and implement the Mockingbird Family Model of Foster Care - for the first time in Wales - which aims to increase the retention of foster carers and reduce the number of placement changes for children in foster care.

Flintshire Council has been awarded £30,000 to introduce a Mockingbird ‘constellation’ fostering hub with peer support, regular sleepovers and combined social activities for foster carers and their families.
