About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

Q1. Can you please confirm if you have a template or specific format for submission?

A. Please submit no more than four A4 pages as a single document, so this could be either a Word document or PDF.

Q2. Do we need to include our answers in the document you supplied or can we answer in our own PDF document, with the annex and question number clearly marked?

A. You can respond to the questions in your own PDF and this can be formatted as you please as long as these are clearly marked.

Q3. Do you want us to provide hourly/daily rates or fixed prices aligned to specific pieces of work?

A. Please share hourly and daily rates.

Q4. If we are applying for three services, should we give you an example of each, rather than three, to keep within the 500-word limit?

A. In instances where suppliers are applying for more than one service the word count for question 1 can be increased (500 words per service) so that suppliers have the opportunity to share up to three examples per service.

Q5. Four pages of A4 seems generous for 700 words, are we allowed to include information on other aspects of who we are/what we can offer in our submission – so the word count can go higher than 700?

A. The additional pages are so that suppliers proposing to provide more than one service can include answers relating to these, or suppliers proposing graphic design services may include images if desired. Additional information that you provide won’t be scored, only the answers to the questions.

Q6. Can you confirm if we need to submit written answers to the Stage 2 questions as part of our initial response, or if those questions are for discussion in the interview if we progress to stage 2?

A. You do not need to submit written answers to the stage 2 questions. These will be asked in the interview.

Q7. Will the work you commission be mission based?

A. Yes, the work we commission from suppliers will usually be based on our missions, which you can read about on our website.

Q8. Do you have multiple stakeholders inputting into projects.

A. Yes, we have to manage feedback from a number of internal stakeholders. We use the Google suite of docs to help us manage this.

Q9. What is an example of a big creative challenge that Nesta has?

A. Communicating Nesta’s new strategic direction to new audiences.

Q10. Do you have busy and quiet times of the year?

A. Like many workplaces, the rhythm usually follows the academic year.
