Visualisations are an exciting, rapidly changing aspect of data research - they are designed to make information accessible, which can lead to an increased level of public engagement with research. Data visualisations are becoming a prominent tool in many news and research bodies - even the UN use them to check our 'Global Pulse'.
So, here is a shortlist of ten of our favourite data visualisations. They all present data in an engaging way that makes that information more useful - from helping you to understand your community better to making sure you don't miss your train.
