uMotif is a software company which designs software that puts people at the heart of their own management of long-term health conditions.
Its collection of web and mobile apps allows people to track and monitor their health and choose to share their data with their doctors.
Co-founder and CEO, Bruce Hellman, monitored his own sleep and realised the power of tracking and self-management. His aim was to develop services that improve patient outcomes by encouraging people to take a more active role in the management of their conditions.
The tools can be used to help those living with long-term conditions monitor their medication intake, track their symptoms and share their health data.
uMotif has been funded by the UK Department of Health’s Small Business Research Initiative and the organisation has been recognised by the Cisco BIG Awards, UnLtd and the North West Coast Academic Health Science Network.
The team is now focusing on running further tests and trials of its products, deploying more tools across the NHS and pursuing international expansion.
