An eight week programme for budding entrepreneurs consisting of business basics, design thinking and building networks, with the focus on navigating Scotland’s support landscape to help startup businesses.
Nightriders recognises that budding entrepreneurs can find it challenging to know where to start with their business aspirations. Lauren Currie, co-founder of design agency Snook, decided to create a programme to help entrepreneurs build meaningful relationships, develop ideas and learn basic business skills.
The programme is for everybody regardless of business motivation. The original cohort began with a group of ten entrepreneurs who were dedicated to the Nightriders weekly process. Three of those went on to quit their day jobs and focus on their new ventures.
The team are now building on the momentum of that group and establishing a self-sustaining community where graduates help deliver the following programme. The network is also supported by an open wiki toolkit of crowdsourced resources that continues to grow.
Lauren wants to build local communities of Nightriders throughout Scotland and across the UK. By helping people with a business idea start their journeys and gain confidence, Nightriders plans to be the destination starting point for UK entrepreneurs.
