Start at home: Supporting newly trained installers with their first heat pump installs
Wed 26 June - 12:00-12:15 | Thurs 27 June - 12:00-12:15
Helping newly-trained heat pump installers to make their first heat pump installation will be key to growing confidence and skills in the sector. We know that it can take some time before installers who have retrained to install heat pumps are frequently installing heat pumps – it can even take a long time until they've done their very first installation. Nesta and SNIPEF are working together to trial a pioneering project to test whether giving newly trained installers a heat pump to install at home could speed up their entrance into the heat pump sector. Come along and find out how this pilot is going.
Flexing heat pump use to shift demand
Tues 25 June - 15:00-15:15
How can households support a lower-carbon grid by shifting the energy demand of their heat pump away from peak times? Find out from Nesta, the UK’s innovation charity, how their work with Centre for Net Zero is testing ways to shift demand and leave us with a greener grid.
