Green technology is at the heart of achieving net zero in the UK. We’ll need innovative technology to heat our homes, power our cars and keep our supermarkets stocked. And we’ll need people with skills, knowledge and understanding to make it happen.
The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is an educational charity dedicated to researching and communicating positive solutions for environmental change to help create a zero-carbon Britain. Their work involves conversations with government and campaigners about net-zero policies, training students in sustainability and advising homeowners on changes they can make in their own homes.
Interim CEO Eileen Kinsman joined us for a free online talk, exploring how alternative technology can help Britain get to net zero, drawing on insights from the CAT’s past work and ambitious future plans. Having worked for charities and organisations campaigning on environmental, human rights and social justice issues for nearly 30 years, Eileen is a pinnacle piece in CAT’s mission to increase innovative green technologies for homes, industry and the grid.
