Arts & Culture Finance - 6 Oct 2021 12:30 – 13:30

Pursuing a capital project can be a big undertaking, with lots of moving parts and stakeholders to consider. Once complete however, a new or refurbished building can create a wealth of opportunities, make your space more accessible to new audiences and bring in different revenue streams.

The Arts & Culture Finance team discussed open funds and the capital projects funded so far. They were joined by Kate Inskip from Central School of Ballet to hear about their state of the art, purpose-built new home located on the South Bank and the blood, sweat and tears that went into the process!

The talk included the following topics:

  • Fundraising considerations
  • Managing stakeholders, including councils and planning authorities
  • Dealing with the unexpected
  • Common challenges and how to avoid them

Who is it for and why should I watch the recording?

People in the arts, culture and heritage sector who are thinking about social investment as part of their fundraising strategy, along with those who are seeking general advice on their capital project.
