The Amazon Longitude Explorer Prize is a year-long competition that challenges teams of young people aged 11 to 16 to design, test and develop technology enterprises for social good. The prize inspires, educates and enables a diverse range of young people to develop real innovations for the future. The webinar will take place on Thursday 14 January over three recurring sessions throughout the day in order to give as many teams a chance to participate.

Each session will allow for teachers, youth group leaders and other educators who are interested to find out how they can support the young people they work with to participate in this opportunity. The session will provide an overview of the prize and its benefits but also an opportunity to answer any questions or concerns you might have about making an application.
More about the prize
The prize is free to apply to and participate in via schools and youth groups, teams will be supported throughout the programme through interactive online delivery, with the potential for an in-person event in the summer term depending on the public health circumstances. Students are given classroom activities and materials to help kick-start their creative thinking and support to apply.
Students will have the opportunity to transform their idea into a reality over the academic year with access to an exclusive business school experience, mentors, hardware and software - and a chance to win up to £20,000 for their schools or youth groups, plus individual prizes.
