We are creating new system based solutions to tackle this problem in Delhi and other urban Indian centres. Over the last few months we have been working with the Children's Investment Fund Foundation, Vihara Innovation Network and our innovation lab participants to develop new and better solutions for acute malnutrition prevention in an urban context. This week we are launching the Baby Ready Family coalition.

The focus of the coalition is on:

1) The first 1000 days, from conception to the first two years of age,

2) Adolescent girls and their nutritional and developmental needs.

During our innovation lab have designed a future system that creates a “Baby Ready Family”. This baby ready family is not just about focusing on the baby or the mother but also the father, the grand parents and the larger community. The solution knits together sectors like nutrition, behavior change, health-tech, and WASH.
