About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

Nadeen Haidar is a senior strategy manager in Nesta’s strategy unit.

She is also a TEDx speaker with over a decade of experience driving strategic and systemic change across the public sector, third sector, and NHS.

At Nesta, she leads on impact and supports the organisation to design and deliver its 10-year strategy. She is passionate about using participatory, people-centred approaches to shape and implement strategy in ways that are practical, trusted, inclusive, and meaningful.

Previously, Nadeen was part of Nesta’s People Powered Results team, pioneering approaches to change and innovation in complex systems. She has facilitated strategic dialogues and systems-change initiatives across Europe, bringing together diverse stakeholders to tackle complex challenges and lead large-scale, collaborative initiatives. Her early career working directly with Syrian refugees and people experiencing homelessness in the UK shaped her commitment to people-centred, participatory approaches, and to methods that blend analytical rigour with empathy and collaboration to drive meaningful change that sticks.

Outside of work, she’s being outpaced, outsmarted, and endlessly entertained by a very curious toddler - rediscovering London one park, playground, and puddle at a time.
