Project Coordinator, Open Data Challenge Series
Alicia was a project coordinator for the Open Data Challenge Series and provided support to both Nesta and the Open Data Institute.
Alicia joined Nesta in May 2013 supporting communications for the European project Apps For Europe, helping hackathon veterans turn their brilliant ideas into startup businesses.
She is a BJTC qualified multimedia journalist interested in development, sustainability and creative story telling.
As a newly baptised follower of open data, Alicia is interested in bringing data do gooders and communities together to help solve societal problems. She is also eager to work on technology innovation projects that have a real impact and ground level relevance in Africa.
Alicia is the co-founder of The Album People - an archiving service that creates personal digital libraries of photos and videos. Food is her biggest passion and she is usually found eating and creating food or dreaming of opening her own food pop up.
